Author Paul W. Bass will discuss his book, The History of Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, including its formation in 1940, why it was named for General Leonard Wood, base training, objectives and growth during wars from WWII to the modern day war on terror.  Bass will also share how the base has impacted the development of the surrounding counties.

Waves of Danger Murder Mystery

A relaxing cruise in the Caribbean to celebrate its crew hits a port not on the itinerary: murder!  Become a passenger on the S.S. Carnage to help find the killer or possibly be the killer yourself.  During this fun excursion you can play detective, accomplice, or murderer.  Choose to be a part of the mystery or sit back and try to figure in out.  Pack your thinking cap, keen eye and good memory to put together all the clues and solve the mystery.

Introduction to Cake Decorating

Professional cake decorator Terri Womack will teach techniques for using pastry bags and pastry tips to create a unique masterpiece.  Since inch cakes will be provided.  Pasty bags and tips will be available, but feel free to bring your own tools.

Tai Chi:  A Gentle Way to Fight Stress

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese tradition that is practiced today as a form of exercise involving a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing, according to mayoclinic.org.  Tai Chi instructor Bev Burchett will offer an introductory tai chi class perfect for beginners.
